In order to make as simple and easy as possible the check in procedure please fill in and send this form prior to your arrival. These details are required by the Italian Police and Town Hall authorities: OPEN THE FORM 

The hotel is located within the city center, specifically in a restricted traffic zone known as a ZTL. Access to the ZTL requires prior authorization, which we can provide. We recommend driving directly to the designated parking areas and then taking a short walk to the hotel, which is located just a few minutes away from the parking areas.

In case you prefer to unload your luggage and check in first, head to Via Gracciano nel Corso 28 street. You will have to enter Montepulciano through the main gate called Porta al Prato and drive to your destination. See the detailed itinerary here:  ITINERARY

Remember to  provide your car registration plate in advance via the above registration form (See the “how to smooth the check in procedure” section).

It’s important to note that parking within the ZTL is not allowed (only 20 min max tolerance), so you will need to drive to designated parking areas as soon as possible.

TRAIN: If you prefer to use public transportation, you can take a train to the Chiusi-Chianciano Terme train station, which is located about 20 kilometers from Montepulciano. From there, you can take a bus or a taxi to reach the town.

TAXI: standing outside the train station

There is another train station called Montepulciano Stazione connected only to Siena and Chiusi-Chianciano Terme. Montepulciano Stazione is located 10 km from the actual Montepulciano and only connected by taxi that you need to call (very occasionally outside the station). Although in Montepulciano you will not need a car at all (the traffic is actually restricted to residents only) you will definitely need a car to explore the region. Public transportation is minimal and only connects major villages with few runs per day. You can rent a car either at the airport (especially if you decide to come straight to Montepulciano) or you can rent a car locally at the nearest train station, Chiusi.
